Precious Metral Recovery vs Precious Metal Recycling
When we are talking about internet searches then yes, the two terms Precious Metal Recovery and Precious Metal Recycling are probably fully interchangeable. At least that is what we find when we speak with potential clients that have found us through the internet.
In common usage, both terms refer to the separation of precious metals from other materials so that the metal can be retrieved for re-use.
Strictly speaking though, the two terms are different.
Recovery of precious metal is the actual chemical, mechanical or thermal process of extracting precious metal from by-products, wastes, etc..
Precious metal recycling is the overarching term that covers any re-use of a precious metal.
Please have a look at our article on Precious Metal Recovery where we discuss the numerous methods and techniques used to recover and recycle precious metals.
